Are all of the Nature Bare products homemade?
Absolutely! We make our products in a clean and sanitized environment in small batches, pretty much made fresh to order!
Where do you get the ingredients that go into your products?
Most of our carrier oils, waxes, butters and essential oils are from certified organic vendors but we have not gone through the red tape and expenses required for our small business to become organically certified. If we did this, our prices would be significantly higher and we would have to pass the cost to our customers. It's just not something that we want to do at this time. Those products that are not organic usually come from most of the same vendors that exhibit high purity, sustainable and honest practices.
All of our ingredients come from non GMO, non-animal tested sources.
Are Nature Bare products safe to use every day?
All of our products are made from plant sources, no synthetics, gluten or dairy involved and most at this time do not contain any essential oils, other than if you are allergic to nuts, latex (shea butter will be an issue for you) or cocoa (chocolate) you will want to avoid any products in our line that contains these substances.
I saw some products can be made to order. What is the turnaround time from when I order until the time I will receive the product?
All of our products are made to order and depending on the time of the year; typical turnaround time is two days between ordering and shipping since the products have to so set before we ship. Again, since our products are all natural and most only contain a natural preservative (radish root ferment and amticide coconut), the shelf life is not as long as your typical store bought product and so to ensure you get the most out of your product, we make it fresh. The shortest shelf life is 6 months, the longest is 1 year.
Are there other ingredients in your products that aren’t listed on the website?
No, all ingredients used in each product are clearly labeled on the ingredient list on the website and on the product label.
Are your products just for women?
No, they are for everyone. My husband and sons use Nature Bare’s products every day! Body butter can suit everyone’s body, ha, ha!
My product arrived frozen, what should I do?
Sit product out in room temperature for a couple of hours and check to see if it has softened up (smooth buttery feel for butters, soft to the touch for salves, product will melt on skin contact for lip balms). If that still does not work, place product jar in hot water, double boiler method (DO NOT SUBMERGE PRODUCT UNDER WATER), and check product every 3 minutes or so. Once product starts to soften, stir with a small spoon, chopstick (cushy tush contains bentonite clay, which loses some of its properties when in contact with metal, so use a non-metal stirring object), stirrer or toothpick (depending on size of jar) until it looks uniform and has a smooth consistency, remove from heat, then let it sit in room temperature to set for a couple of hours or place in refrigerator for 15 - 30 minutes. If you have a large amount of product, once product softens and semi-liquid, you may remove from container and use hand blender to whip it to cake icing consistency and place back into jar.
My product arrived melted! What should I do?
Stir product with a small spoon, chopstick (cushy tush, for example, contains bentonite clay, which loses some of its properties when in contact with metal, so use a non-metal stirring object), glass/metal stirrer or toothpick (dependent on size of container) and place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to set. If you have a large amount of product, once product is a semi-solid liquid, you may remove from container and use a hand blender to whip it to cake icing consistency and place back into jar.
