Frequently Asked Questions
What do I do if my candle is broken upon delivery?
We do our best to package our candles with plenty of padding so our product gets to you safely, but sometimes the shipping process can be rough and can cause breakage. If a candle is broken when you receive it, please email us a photo of the damage as soon as possible. We will work with you directly to replace it in a timely manner. If you intended to purchase the candles as a gift which required a specific date (i.e. Father’s Day, birthday, etc.) please include the information in your inquiry. We may be able to send a new product in time. You can send all inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
What are your candles made out of?
We use 100% plant based wax, a blend of coconut and soy. Additionally, we use phthalate-free fragrance oils and metal-free hemp-core cotton wicks in all our products.
How big are your candles?
Our candles are poured in 7 oz. rocks glasses. We’re currently developing a larger, 11 oz candle and have plans to make this available in 2022.
How Long Do your Candles Last?
Our 7 oz. candles burn for approximately 36 hours.
Where are your candles made?
All of our candles are hand poured in Lexington, KY USA.
What is the best way to maintain my candle?
In order to optimize your candle burning experience we recommend keeping your wick centered and trim it to 1/8 of an inch before each burn. This will ensure even burning and prevent the flame from becoming too large. We would also recommend giving your candle a break after four hours of burning. If your candle burns too long it may develop “mushrooming” where the wick blooms and your candle smokes. If this happens, you should stop the burning and trim your wick back before burning again.
How Do I Clean My Candle and prepare it for drinks?
If your candle wax is down to 1/2 of an inch, it’s time to transition your candle to a cocktail glass. Follow our instructions below:
Step 1: Remove the Labels
Remove the outer label from the glass. We intentionally chose an easy peel label to allow you to get from candle to cocktail glass easily and quickly.
Also remove the warning label from the bottom of the candle. This should come off easily by scraping with a fingernail or utility razor blade.
Step 2: Clean Out The Wax
Grab a spoon to remove any remaining wax from the bottom of the glass. A spoon works great because it allows you to get into the corners easily. The wick tab is attached to the bottom of the glass with a small glue dot so you may need to use a small amount of pressure to pop it off with your utensil of choice.
Tip: There is no need to freeze the candle first because the plant based wax is softer than a traditional paraffin candle. No more forgetting about the candle in the freezer and finding it a week later!
Step 3: Wash the Glass
A quick swipe with a paper towel can be helpful to remove any residual wax. Use a dab of dish soap and a sponge or brush to clean the glass. For another level of clean, you can also choose to put your freshly cleaned glass in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Step 4: Enjoy!
Now it's time to enjoy your favorite cocktail in your new rocks glass!
Tip: Our 7 oz rocks glasses are also perfect for smoothies or juice, mini flower bouquets or anything else you might need to corral together in your home; q-tips, crayons, lip glosses etc. The possibilities are endless. And if you find that you do not need a glass for cocktails or around the house you can always donate or recycle them.
